Website Rebrand Launch

We hope you all had a great virtual GenCon this past weekend! It was certainly no replacement for the full Indianapolis experience but we really appreciated the effort they and other companies put into their live-streams (We know they’re not easy!). Really glad we got at least a semblance of GenCon’s magic this year, but hopefully next year it’ll be back on in full.

Alright, we know some of you may not remember us at this point, so let’s start by addressing the elephant:

Yes. It has been a looong time since you’ve heard from us but we are, in fact, not dead. Very much the opposite! Legends of South County is alive and has never played or looked better than it does now. Before we continue with this beast of an update (as it should be after such a long stretch of nothing), I first want to thank you all for signing up for this email list and being here right at the beginning as we take this game into the public sphere. I also want to thank all of you who participated in playtesting our game at the 2018 and 2019 Gencons and I can’t stress enough that the 2 hours you took to try our game has been monumental in getting us to where we are today. You’re amazing and you should all take a moment to pat yourselves on the back. No seriously, do it. Pat that back.

We already hear some of you demanding that we get to the point. If you’re not big on reading updates and commentary then by all means check out the game’s progress on our BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW WEBSITE that took us longer than we’d like to admit. All information in these updates (aside from my colorful commentary) can be found there as well.

Alright, without further ado let’s show off the centerpiece of the game’s new aesthetic, the TITLE ART:
Some of you may have already seen this, but for those who haven’t our resident graphic designer Jessie (@GraphicMystic) has completely redesigned the game's aesthetic and it all started with this. We hope you love it as much as we do.

But that’s only the beginning:

NEW CHARACTER CARDS (with original art by Icky Hall)

NEW ACTION CARDS (with original art by Graphic Mystic)

New Player Boards!

New Item Tokens (with more original art by Graphic Mystic)

But the aesthetics are just the surface. For those who’ve playtested our game at Gencon last year you already know the basics of play, but for those who haven’t played it or playtested our half baked mess in 2018, we’re very proud to announce our new GAMEPLAY PAGE which goes over all the core concepts.
